Welcome to my corner of the web.
I am a computer architecture and ASIC design specialist, holding a Master’s from ETH Zurich and a Bachelor’s from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). My work focuses on pushing the boundaries of hardware efficiency and physical design.
You can find a deep dive into my professional journey in my CV.
From Silicon to Startups: My Journey So Far
-
I am originally from Sichuan, China, and have spent the last decade navigating the globe for my studies—including seven years in the US and four years across Europe. Now based in the UK, my work focuses on solving the challenges of iterative computing in the physical design process. Living and working across three continents has taught me resilience, deep adaptability, and how to forge my own path independently.
-
My journey began in the industry, where I earned two return offers at Analog Devices. Driven to specialize, I moved into grad school for my Master’s, where I channeled my energy into deep-tech research—specializing in advanced ASIC design, RISC-V CPU architectures, end-to-end tapeouts, bare-metal programming, and HPC infrastructure. Upon graduation, I leveraged this expertise to land a full-time role as an ASIC Engineer at Fraunhofer IIS.
-
Following that, in 2024, I shifted my focus toward building from 0 to 1 in the startup space. I launched several projects (and learned plenty from the failures, too): a startup concept on RTL verification that landed a YC interview, a YouTube extension for language learning, and a mini group-scheduling program that has grown to over 2,500 users. Today, I am directing that entrepreneurial energy toward solving the bottleneck of iterative computing in the physical design process.
-
I believe in innovation with a purpose, collaborative engineering, and technology that solves real-world problems.
-
Outside of engineering, I am the founder of a women’s advocacy group focused on mentorship and solidarity. Through free community events, we help women build the skills, confidence, and networks they need to thrive in competitive spaces.
When I’m not tinkering with hardware, you’ll find me:
-
🎮 Gaming, building Lego, or trying (and usually failing) to beat my fiancée at Gomoku.
-
📖 Devouring sci-fi (The Three-Body Problem by Liu Cixin is an absolute favorite).
-
✍️ Writing to untangle complex thoughts and spark new ideas.
-
🎵 Getting lost in music to find focus or unwind.
-
🌿 Recharging in nature—often capturing the view with my drone.
Thanks for stopping by!
Always excited to connect with engineers, founders, and innovators pushing the boundaries of technology.
