Welcome to my corner of the web.

I am a computer architecture and ASIC design engineer, holding a Master’s from ETH Zurich and a Bachelor’s from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). My work focuses on pushing the boundaries of hardware efficiency and high performance systems.

You can deep dive into my professional journey by requesting a CV.

From Silicon to Startups:  My Journey So Far

  • I'm currently a Founding Chip Design Engineer at Tattvam AI, an early-stage startup teaching AI to design chips. My job is turning circuit designs into manufacturable silicon. I also help build the knowledge base that lets our AI reason about chip layouts the way a human engineer would.

  • My path into hardware started with two return offers at Analog Devices, then a Master's at ETH Zurich, where I specialized in advanced chip design, processor architecture, and full tape-out-to-silicon fabrication (bare-metal programming, HPC infrastructure), including contributing physical layout work to Iguana, the first open-source 64-bit Linux-capable RISC-V chip ever taped out. That research led directly into a full-time engineering role at Fraunhofer IIS, a leading German applied-research institute.

  • In 2024, I shifted toward building from 0 to 1 in the startup space: a chip-verification concept that reached a YC interview, a YouTube extension for language learning, and a group-scheduling mini-program now used by 2,500+ people. That entrepreneurial instinct is what brought me to Tattvam AI, where I'm tackling one of chip design's slowest bottlenecks head-on.

  • I'm originally from Sichuan, China, and have spent the last decade navigating the globe — including years in the US and across Europe, now based in the UK. Living and working across three continents has taught me resilience, deep adaptability, and how to forge my own path independently.

  • I believe in innovation with a purpose, collaborative engineering, and technology that solves real-world problems.

When I'm not tinkering with hardware, you'll find me:

  • 🎮 Gaming, building Lego, or playing Gomoku

  • 🎵 Listening to Fusion Jazz (I recommend Shawn Martin)

  • 📷 Taking pictures (recently added a film camera to the mix)

  • 🌿 Hiking and traveling (Been to 25+ countries)

  • 📖 Reading (The Three-Body Problem by Liu Cixin is my favorite)

  • ✍️ Writing down random thoughts

PS:

I'm always excited to connect with engineers, founders, and innovators pushing the boundaries of technology.
